Apple is hiring a Touch HW EE Validation Engineer to develop and execute validation methodologies for next-gen touch technologies. You'll work with electrical engineering principles and scripting languages like MATLAB and Python. This position requires a strong background in analog/mixed-signal testing methodologies.
You have a strong electrical engineering background with experience in analog/mixed-signal testing methodologies — you've owned validation and test efforts on products and understand the intricacies of ensuring high performance in touch technologies. A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required, and you are eager to dive deep into complex issues, breaking down existing algorithms to enhance your understanding. Your multidisciplinary understanding of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and physics principles allows you to approach problems from various angles. You possess high proficiency in software and algorithm prototyping and analysis using scripting languages like MATLAB and Python, which you have used to develop innovative solutions in your previous roles.
You are willing to wear multiple hats and go beyond normal roles and responsibilities — your collaborative spirit thrives in a hands-on environment that fosters engineering excellence, creativity, and innovation. You are passionate about developing strategies and solutions that ensure products meet exacting performance standards in terms of hardware and user experience. Your experience in hardware prototyping and design of experiments (DoE) is complemented by your ability to conduct failure analysis and corrective actions (FA/CA).
Experience in a similar role within the tech industry is a plus, as is familiarity with the latest advancements in touch technology. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are excited about the opportunity to contribute to next-gen touch solutions that will be central to Apple’s products.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing validation and characterization methodologies for Apple’s touch solutions — from proof-of-concept to mass production, your work will directly impact the user experience of millions of customers. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the touch performance standards are met and exceeded. Your role will involve hands-on testing and validation of hardware components, where you will apply your knowledge of electrical engineering principles to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
You will also engage in the design of experiments to evaluate the performance of touch technologies, ensuring that they meet the high standards expected by Apple. Your ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights will be crucial in refining and enhancing the touch solutions. You will participate in brainstorming sessions to innovate and improve existing technologies, contributing to the development of the world’s best multi-touch user experience.
