Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Community Engagement, to join a growing and dynamic team that works in support of Amazon’s community engagement, social impact, and corporate responsibility goals in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

Amazon is committed to being a positive presence in locations where our employees live and work. The candidate will serve as a key member of Amazon’s international community giving team, supporting and driving engagement with local community stakeholders, public sector entities, private industry and business groups, charitable organizations and NGOs, and neighborhood groups in support of Amazon’s footprint in the APAC region.

The candidate will represent Amazon in ways that are meaningful to customers, neighbors, and other local stakeholders. As a part of the role, the candidate will lead strategic development and coordination between community-facing teams against key goals and performance indicators to deliver results. The role will require the management of hyperlocal community giving initiatives throughout countries in the APAC region, the ability to produce high-quality reporting for leadership decision making, and to create authentic and engaging narratives describing Amazon’s hyperlocal activities.

The position will report to the Director Community Engagement.

This remote position will be based in Bangalore, India. • Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 12+ years of relevant experience in community relations, corporate social responsibility, public policy, economic development, or equivalent experience.
• An ability and desire to travel is required.
• Candidate should be fluent in English.• Juris Doctorate, Master’s Degree, or other Advanced Degree.
• Experience developing and executing external affairs, community relations, and/or corporate social responsibility strategies in a corporate environment.
• Highly effective oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills; demonstrated ability to effectively and comfortably interact at the highest corporate, political, and community levels for a diverse variety of audiences.
• Ability to influence, negotiate with, and persuade others. Must be flexible and demonstrate strong judgment/decision-making skills and political acumen.
• Demonstrated ability to manage high-profile relationships with community partners and civic leaders.
