Overview

Uber is seeking a Business Development Team Lead I to build and manage a team of Field Sales Representatives focused on driver acquisition across multiple cities in Mexico. This role requires strong leadership and performance management skills.

Who you are

You have a proven track record in business development and team leadership, with experience in managing sales teams and driving performance. You understand the nuances of offline driver acquisition and have a knack for building strong teams that achieve results. Your ability to monitor and evaluate team performance ensures that your team is always on track to meet their goals. You excel in facilitating collaboration among team members and cross-functional partners, fostering a culture of communication and success.

You are resourceful and motivated, with a passion for growing supply in a competitive market. Your experience in establishing sales processes and identifying bottlenecks will be crucial in unlocking target markets. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are adept at managing multiple priorities while maintaining focus on key objectives.

Desirable

Experience in the transportation or logistics industry would be a plus, as would familiarity with performance metrics and sales strategies. A background in team building and development will help you nurture your team of Field Sales Representatives effectively.

What you'll do

As the Business Development Team Lead I, you will be responsible for building and developing a team of Field Sales Representatives who will be the first point of contact in launching Uber's services in new cities across Mexico. You will lead your team in driving results and achieving market goals, ensuring that the right people and processes are in place to succeed. Your role will involve monitoring team behavior and performance, providing feedback and coaching to help your team members grow.

You will collaborate closely with the Operations team and the Field Growth Manager to ensure alignment on objectives and strategies. Your leadership will be key in establishing a motivated and high-achieving team that excels in offline driver acquisition strategies, including setting up registration points and managing key referrer networks. You will also be responsible for identifying and escalating any funnel bottlenecks that could hinder market penetration.

In this role, you will facilitate productive communication among your team and cross-functional partners, ensuring that everyone is aligned and working towards common goals. Your ability to drive performance management will be essential in helping your team exceed critical metrics and objectives.
