Engineering Manager, Sales Systems

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in engineering management, leading cross-functional teams to deliver impactful systems and tools. Your background includes a strong technical foundation, ideally with a degree in Computer Science or a related field, and you have a proven track record of developing and shaping both internally and externally facing products. You are adept at building distributed systems or microservices architectures, and you understand the nuances of integrating various technologies to enhance business operations.

You possess experience with Salesforce and other products that contribute to the seller tech stack, and you are familiar with machine learning concepts, recommender systems, and workflows that transition leads to opportunities. Your ability to adapt prioritization and staffing decisions based on evolving business needs is a key strength, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can work closely with product, program, and business leaders.

You are a strategic thinker who can develop a long-term vision for sales systems that scales seller motions effectively. You are comfortable navigating complex challenges and are committed to driving smarter decisions through data-driven insights. You have excellent communication skills, enabling you to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and foster a culture of collaboration within your team.

Experience with marketing automation platforms and customer data platforms (CDPs) is a plus, as is familiarity with building tools that enhance digital experiences. What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the Sales Systems team at Stripe, focusing on building the most measurable, cross-channel messaging capabilities to attract and engage customers. You will work closely with product, program, and business leaders to develop a long-term vision and execute on the sales systems strategy that scales seller motions. Your responsibilities will include adapting prioritization and staffing decisions as the team and business demands evolve, ensuring that your team is equipped to meet the challenges ahead.

You will design and build systems that power better digital experiences, own the marketing automation platform and its integrations, and drive the development of a marketing customer data platform (CDP). Your leadership will be crucial in shaping the tools and insights that fuel Stripe’s growth, and you will collaborate with engineers, analysts, marketers, and product managers to deliver impactful solutions.

You will also be responsible for mentoring and developing your team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. By leveraging your technical expertise and leadership skills, you will help your team navigate complex challenges and deliver high-quality products that meet the needs of Stripe's customers.
