You have a background in maintaining and operating electrical systems, including three-phase electrical systems, switch gear, UPSs, and PDUs — your knowledge extends to stand-by diesel generators and related fuel systems. You are comfortable working with various mechanical systems such as centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, and air handlers. Your technical skills enable you to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions.

You are a proactive problem solver who enjoys collaborating with a diverse team of engineers — you understand that teamwork is essential in addressing the challenges of data center operations. You are committed to continuous learning and improvement, always seeking to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field.

Desirable

What you'll do

In this role, you will be a critical guardian of Amazon's technological infrastructure — your primary responsibility will be to maintain and troubleshoot data center operations. You will work hands-on with electrical and mechanical equipment, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally. Your role will involve regular inspections and preventive maintenance to avoid downtime and ensure reliability.

You will collaborate closely with other technicians and engineers to address any operational issues that arise — your ability to communicate effectively will be key in coordinating efforts to resolve problems swiftly. You will also participate in the implementation of new systems and upgrades, contributing your insights to improve operational efficiency.

As part of your responsibilities, you will document maintenance activities and system changes — this documentation will be crucial for maintaining compliance and ensuring that all team members are informed of system statuses. You will also assist in training new team members, sharing your knowledge and experience to help them succeed in their roles.
