Overview

Google is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to design and develop cloud platform systems. You'll leverage your expertise in hardware systems design and contribute to innovative silicon solutions. This role requires 4+ years of experience in hardware design and technical leadership.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. With at least 4 years of experience working in hardware systems design, or 3 years with an advanced degree, you are well-versed in the intricacies of hardware development. Your preferred qualifications include a Master's or PhD degree in a relevant field, along with 8 years of experience in hardware design and bring-up. You have a strong background in power circuit design and signal integrity, and you thrive in technical leadership roles, guiding teams to success.

What you'll do

As a Senior Hardware Engineer at Google, you will be part of a team that pushes boundaries in developing custom silicon solutions for Google's direct-to-consumer products. Your expertise will shape the next generation of hardware experiences, delivering unparalleled performance and efficiency. You will drive efforts for the documentation of hardware design, its implementation, and test/validation results throughout the product life cycle. You will review and approve hardware designs, including block diagrams, schematics, layouts, BOM, algorithms, protocols, and link budgets, ensuring that all components meet performance, power, and cost-effectiveness requirements.
