What you'll do

As an Operations Manager for Amazon's Transportation team, you will lead the line haul operations for the Surat region. Your responsibilities will include managing the day-to-day execution of operations, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. You will be tasked with planning for network expansion and managing relationships with carriers to optimize performance.

You will collaborate with various teams, including Network Design, S&OP, and Last Mile operations, to ensure that all aspects of the line haul operations are aligned and functioning effectively. Your role will involve analyzing operational metrics and leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

In addition, you will be responsible for executing carrier operations for the assigned city/region, which includes overseeing the logistics of transporting goods and ensuring timely deliveries. You will also play a key role in building relationships with external stakeholders, such as vendors and carriers, to foster collaboration and drive operational success.
