PHP Backend Developer

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for refactoring and modernizing existing products, which involves rewriting them from scratch while adhering to best software practices. You will architect highly scalable and transaction-heavy web and API applications, focusing on building new backend services using PHP or Python. Your work will involve collaborating closely with Product Managers to translate complex requirements into functional features. You will design and implement data access layers and caching strategies to improve performance and scalability. Additionally, you will be involved in optimizing database queries and ensuring that the applications you develop are robust and efficient.

You will work within a highly collaborative team of skilled engineers, where your contributions will directly impact the user experience and the overall success of Guidepoint's mission. You will have the opportunity to take on challenging development projects that require innovative thinking and problem-solving skills. Your role will also include participating in code reviews and contributing to the continuous improvement of the team's development processes.
