SpaceX is hiring an Inventory Specialist to support inventory control for Starship launch operations. You'll be responsible for organizing and moving materials, utilizing ERP systems, and operating forklifts. This position requires at least 1 year of inventory control experience.
You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and at least 1 year of inventory control experience. You are capable of operating forklifts and have a good understanding of inventory and kitting processes. Your computer skills are excellent, particularly with Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel, and Outlook. You are detail-oriented and can maintain strict material handling practices in accordance with good procedures. You are familiar with ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle, and can effectively utilize them in your daily tasks.
In this role, you will pick, lift, organize, and move standard hardware, raw materials, purchased parts, machined details, and assemblies to support inventory control for Starship launch operations at the Cape Canaveral launch site. You will assemble racks, look for parts, and organize supplies as directed by the inventory control lead and manager. Your responsibilities will include performing picking functions to create necessary kits of parts, materials, and hardware, ensuring that all parts are accounted for and available in kits. You will frequently use forklifts and other machinery to transport large materials on site and maintain strict material handling practices. Additionally, you will monitor shelf-life storage and maintain proper rotation of stock, as well as perform daily cycle counts.
