Carvana is seeking a Senior Heavy Body Technician to perform extensive bodywork and train other technicians. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of professional automotive bodywork experience.
You have a minimum of 5 years of professional automotive bodywork experience, making you well-versed in various techniques and repairs. As an Experienced Heavy Body Technician, you are capable of training other autobody technicians, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles. Your experience includes heavy plastic welding, metal pulling, straightening, and shrinking, as well as roof and rocker panel repairs. You are skilled in performing large area, heavy bodywork, including Bondo repair, ensuring that vehicles meet high-quality standards.

You understand the importance of working collaboratively with your colleagues to meet business needs, even if it requires mandatory overtime. Your attention to detail and dedication to quality work make you a valuable asset to any team.
While not required, additional certifications such as ASE would be beneficial. Familiarity with state-of-the-art tools and technologies in automotive repair is a plus, as is a willingness to engage in ongoing training and development opportunities.
In this role, you will perform extensive bodywork on multiple panels of vehicles, ensuring that all repairs are completed to the highest standards. You will be responsible for heavy plastic welding and stapling, as well as heavy metal pulling, straightening, and shrinking. Your expertise will be crucial in roof and rocker panel repairs, as well as in executing large area, heavy bodywork, including Bondo repair. You will also play a key role in training and mentoring other autobody technicians, helping them to develop their skills and improve their performance.
You will work in one of Carvana's high-tech Inspection Centers, utilizing state-of-the-art tools to deliver exceptional results. Your commitment to quality and efficiency will help ensure that vehicles are delivered to customers on time and in excellent condition. You will be expected to maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and best practices in automotive repair.
