[US-DC] Area Manager

You are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining a safe and orderly work environment, adhering to all safety regulations. You are comfortable using technology for data entry and reporting, with proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office and Google Sheets.

What you'll do

In this role, you will supervise a team of 10-15 employees, ensuring that shipping activities are conducted efficiently and safely. You will communicate daily with carriers to ensure compliance with schedules and deadlines. Your responsibilities will include planning and assigning work to your team, providing them with the necessary tools and training to succeed. You will maintain discipline and morale among your subordinates, fostering a harmonious work environment. You will also be responsible for investigating and resolving personnel issues, ensuring that all employees are supported in their roles. Additionally, you will update data in the computer system, ensuring accurate reporting and communication with management throughout each shift. You will play a key role in coaching and developing your team, helping them to achieve their professional goals while meeting the operational needs of the distribution center.
