The Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) Tech team, part of Finance Automation, develops services, products, and tools to enable Amazon's corporate real estate team to build and operate the company's global facilities in more than 60 countries, which is the largest corporate real estate footprint in the world. We develop building systems that deliver a seamless, adaptive, and creative workspace experience to more than half a million employees. Our mission is to create technology that simplifies the processes Amazon employs to manage its corporate real estate. Our teams build services and products that support various GREF domains, including space and occupancy planning, design and construction, employee health and safety, sustainability, and building management systems requiring IoT expertise. Key job responsibilities
- Build solutions in Salesforce.com leveraging Force.com, VisualForce, APEX, Lightning Web Components, Web Services, and APIs.
- Own all aspects of architecture, end-to-end design, development, security, design/development best practices, integration and deployment (CI/CD), release architecture, and automation regression testing
- Oversee the configuration and coding of new and existing Salesforce features, including user management, security, custom objects, page layouts, validations, workflows, flows, process builders, and third-party applications.
- Support cross-systems integrations across native Salesforce ecosystem, as well as other cloud technologies including AWS
- Support system integrations across the native Salesforce ecosystem, backend services, and AWS technologies.
- Collaborate with product managers and program teams to deliver customized solutions that meet business requirements, enhance user experience, and generate tangible business value.
- Engage in planning and analyzing requirements for system enhancements, translating them into well-architected solutions that leverage the Salesforce platform and products effectively.
- Proactively identify opportunities to leverage Salesforce innovation to improve existing business processes, support rapid organizational scaling, and provide expertise on when to use configuration vs. code vs. out-of-the-box products.- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience leading the design, build and deployment of complex and performant (reliable and scalable) software solutions in production
- 8+ years of Salesforce Development experience, utilizing Apex, Visualforce, Lightning component frameworks, triggers, batch Apex, and Salesforce APIs
- 4+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience in communicating with executives to describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy- Knowledge of engineering best practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and CI/CD deployments.
- Experience taking a leading role in building complex software or computing infrastructure that has been successfully delivered to customers
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, APEX Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
