What you'll do

As the Engineering Manager for the Data Protection Platform at Verkada, you will lead a team of engineers dedicated to enhancing the security of our Command SaaS platform. You will partner closely with product and engineering teams to identify security vulnerabilities and implement effective solutions that exceed customer expectations. Your role will involve building and expanding security and privacy platform services, ensuring that they are integrated seamlessly across all Verkada products. You will collaborate with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to develop and grow the broader security programs within the company, sharing your expertise and insights with other teams to promote a culture of security awareness.

You will also be responsible for driving the adoption of Enterprise-Controlled Encryption in Verkada’s products, ensuring that our customers' data is protected at all times. Your leadership will guide the team in writing code across various technology stacks, fostering collaboration and innovation. You will conduct regular code reviews and provide mentorship to your team members, helping them grow in their careers while maintaining high standards of code quality and security practices.
