Job Description

At Amazon's Advertising Trust team, we're seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager who will obsess over the customer experience with ads. This role sits at the intersection of technology, advertising, and customer experience, offering a unique opportunity to shape the future of digital advertising.

As the driving force behind our Andon Cord program, you'll be tasked with identifying critical gaps in our advertising processes and spearheading initiatives to bridge them. This isn't just about fixing issues; it's about reimagining how we approach advertising trust.

You'll be a strategic partner to leadership, translating intricate technical concepts into clear business value. You'll collaborate with diverse teams across Amazon, from engineering and product management to policy, to drive holistic solutions. Your ability to build consensus, influence without authority, and navigate ambiguity will be crucial as you lead cross-functional projects that span multiple organizations.

We're looking for someone who can think big while staying grounded in data and customer obsession. You'll need to balance the needs of advertisers, who want to reach their audience effectively, with those of shoppers, who expect a trustworthy and relevant ad experience. This role requires not just technical acumen, but also a deep understanding of the advertising industry, regulatory landscape, and emerging ad trends.

Key job responsibilities
Lead the Amazon Ads Andon Cord program to identify and flag critical customer experience defects and drive rapid resolution across relevant teams

Identify and analyze sub-optimal customer experiences with ads, using data-driven insights to pinpoint areas for improvement

Collaborate with multiple organizations to build consensus on prioritizing and implementing product solutions that enhance ad-related customer experiences

Champion innovative technical solutions that address customer pain points

Influence leadership to prioritize customer-centric improvements in the ad experience, presenting compelling business cases backed by customer data

Act as the voice of the customer in technical and strategic discussions, ensuring that customer needs remain at the forefront of ad trust initiatives
- 10+ years of technical program management experience
- 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules- 10+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
