Amazon is hiring a WHS Officer to ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations at their Fulfillment Center in Ahmedabad. You'll leverage lean principles and conduct risk assessments to promote a safe working environment. This role requires strong communication skills and safety program knowledge.
You have experience as a Site Safety Officer, demonstrating the ability to partner effectively with operations teams to execute safety policies and ensure compliance with local and regional regulations. You leverage lean principles and kaizens to lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing ergonomic and conditional risks in the workplace. Your strong communication skills allow you to convey clear and concise safety messages to the operations team, fostering trust and confidence in your leadership. You possess a solid understanding of safety programs and relevant safety, environmental, and ergonomic knowledge, which you apply effectively in your role. You are proactive in identifying best practices and integrating them into company safety standards, continuously striving to improve safety policies.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive risk assessments and analyzing safety data to identify areas for improvement. You will instruct and train Operations Leaders on company safety policies, ensuring that safety standards are incorporated into daily operations. Your ability to influence change will be crucial as you work closely with the operations site teams to implement safety measures. You will lead initiatives that promote a safe and healthful working environment for associates, utilizing your expertise to guide the safety teams in executing core competencies. You will also be tasked with communicating safety expectations and providing frequent feedback to ensure compliance and continuous improvement in safety practices.
