Everlywell is seeking Genetic Counselors to provide telehealth genetic counseling consultations. You'll work with patients on various genetic indications. This role requires experience in genetic counseling.
You are an experienced genetic counselor with a strong background in providing telehealth consultations. You have expertise in various genetic indications, including rare diseases, pharmacogenetics, hereditary cancer, cardiogenetics, and reproductive genetics. Your ability to communicate complex genetic information clearly and compassionately is essential for helping patients understand their test results and options.
You are comfortable working in a remote environment and can manage your schedule effectively to accommodate patient consultations. You are available for a minimum of 5 hours of scheduled consults weekly, including some availability on nights and weekends. Your flexibility and commitment to patient care make you an ideal candidate for this role.
In this role, you will provide telehealth genetic counseling consultations to patients, guiding them through the process of understanding their genetic testing results. You will engage with patients through video and telephone consultations, ensuring they feel supported and informed throughout their journey. Your responsibilities will include interpreting genetic test results, discussing potential implications, and providing recommendations based on individual patient needs.
You will also be responsible for conducting both consumer-initiated testing results and traditional pre- and post-test counseling. Your expertise will help patients navigate their options and make informed decisions regarding their health. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
