Microsoft is hiring a Senior Firmware Engineer to contribute to the development of next-generation hardware and firmware for Azure Infrastructure. You'll work with technologies such as C, C++, and Embedded Linux. This role requires expertise in firmware architecture and design.
You have a strong background in firmware architecture and design, with at least 5 years of experience in the field. Your expertise includes working with Platform & System-on-Chip (SoC) architecture and design, and you are skilled in root causing issues at the intersection of hardware and firmware. You are familiar with the latest trends in firmware technology and have a passion for innovation that secures infrastructure for cloud services.
You thrive in collaborative environments and can influence partners to drive end-to-end solutions from concept to production. Your technical skills include proficiency in C and C++, as well as experience with Embedded Linux, which allows you to effectively contribute to complex projects. You understand the importance of delivering high-quality solutions on time and are committed to achieving operational excellence.
Experience with Azure infrastructure and cloud services is a plus, as is familiarity with security and compliance standards in cloud environments. You are also encouraged to apply if you have experience in high-volume hardware deployments and a track record of successful project management.
