We're seeking a Data Center Security Specialist to coordinate daily security operations at our Milan data centers. This role is 80% operational and 20% tactical, reporting to the Cluster Security Manager. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, innovative, and professional, with experience in customer service, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Key job responsibilities
- Coordinate daily security operations and activities across facilities
- Guide and influence Contract Guard Force performance
- Review, evaluate, and prioritize security requests and tickets
- Implement cluster security strategies at the local level
- Partner with Data Center Managers on security strategies and improvements
- Support and evaluate contract security provider performance
- Extract and analyze security metrics for continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with global security standards
- Assist with media integrity programs
- Train personnel on security policies and procedures
- Handle escalations and manage delegated tasks
- Prepare security operations reports and presentations
- Contribute to security policy development and implementation
- Participate in site audits and inspections- 1+ year of experience working in a standards-based security and safety professional work environment
- 1+ year of experience collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to drive process and system improvement, and effect quality assurance
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office tools
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to read, write and speak fluently English
- Must be able to travel between local sites as needed
- Valid driver's license. This position requires driving a personal vehicle between company locations regularly.
- 1+ year in operations or physical security
- 2+ years data analysis experience
- Knowledge of physical security systems (access control, CCTV, intrusion detection)
- Experience with workflow ticketing systems
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Leadership experience (1+ years)
- Incident response experience (1+ years)
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (3+ years)
- Alignment with Amazon's leadership principles
