Job Description

Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.

We are seeking a high-performing Direct Tax Analyst to join our "Dream Team" in Amsterdam. In this key role, you will be responsible for advising on direct (international) tax matters across the EMEA region. This involves researching complex tax issues, assisting with tax and financial audits in the EMEA region, collaborating with finance and business colleagues, and applying your creativity and curiosity to help navigate new and ambitious business initiatives. You will also help review our corporate income tax compliance and advise on opportunities or controversies in the fields of digital services taxes, withholding taxes, and corporate income taxes.

The ideal candidate is skilled at translating complex tax concepts into clear, business-oriented communication. We are looking for a talented individual who is effective both autonomously and when collaborating with others. 

In short, we are looking for someone who is:

  • Curious and enthusiastic: Unafraid to ask questions and embrace new challenges.

  • Detail-oriented: Highly accurate in all work.

  • Open and candid: Willing to show vulnerability and exercise candor.

Education and experience: 

  • A degree in tax and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience working in a multinational environment; 

  • Solid understanding of international and European taxation, transfer pricing, and corporate structuring;

  • Project management experience and a keen eye for details;

  • Fluent in English; other regional languages are helpful
