You'll collaborate with engineering leaders and influence strategic decisions. This role requires a strong understanding of finance and resource optimization.
You have a strong background in finance, ideally with experience in resource allocation and expense management. You are a motivated and agile thinker who can navigate ambiguity and complexity, demonstrating intellectual curiosity in your work. You understand the strategic importance of cost leadership and are eager to develop a CFO mindset. You excel at building trusted relationships across various teams, including engineering leaders and finance teams, to ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
Experience in a fast-evolving team environment is a plus, as is familiarity with cloud and AI technologies. You are comfortable working with large budgets and have a knack for solving complex problems. Your ability to influence leadership and drive decisions will be key to your success in this role.
As a Finance Manager, you will partner with engineering leaders to ensure that resources are continuously aligned with strategic engineering priorities. You will play a crucial role in driving Microsoft’s cloud and AI capacity, focusing on margin excellence and resource allocation rigor. Your responsibilities will include developing strategies for expense management and resource allocation, ensuring that investments align with a prioritized engineering product roadmap. You will bring fresh energy and innovation to the team, tackling both short and long-term challenges in the AI transformational age.
You will collaborate closely with various teams at Microsoft, including Product Revenue and Margin teams, Central Finance Team, Global Workplace Services, and Procurement. Your role will require you to influence decisions and drive alignment across these teams, ensuring that financial strategies support the overall goals of the organization. You will also be responsible for analyzing financial data and providing insights that inform strategic decisions.
