What you'll do

In your role as Director of Federal Affairs, you will lead the development and execution of strategies to engage with federal policymakers. This includes proactively reaching out to elected officials and their staff, as well as third-party groups and regulatory agencies. You will track key legislative and regulatory issues that impact Block and its mission, ensuring that the company's interests are represented at all levels of government. You will collaborate with colleagues across various policy teams to align efforts and share insights that can enhance Block's advocacy strategies.

You will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders in the federal government, including members of Congress and their staff. Your role will involve preparing briefing materials, position papers, and other communications to effectively convey Block's positions on relevant issues. You will also monitor developments in federal policy and provide timely updates to internal teams to inform strategic decision-making.
