Senior Platform Engineer

Who you are

You have over 6 years of progressive experience in development and design within cloud computing environments — your expertise spans coding in modern languages such as Python or Go, and you are well-versed in software development lifecycle (SDLC) management. You possess strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience, particularly with tools like Terraform and Crossplane, enabling you to automate Kubernetes infrastructure deployment and management effectively.

Your background includes a deep understanding of cloud-native technologies and Kubernetes-based platform ecosystems — you are skilled in implementing and managing these systems to host production APIs while ensuring high availability and scalability. You thrive on reducing toil and streamlining processes, often integrating open-source projects to enhance system features and capabilities.

You bring a sense of vision to your work, actively seeking out innovative solutions and contributing new ideas to the team — your collaborative spirit allows you to work closely with engineering teams, enhancing their daily routines through effective toolsets. You are committed to maintaining and improving service level agreements (SLAs) and service level objectives (SLOs) while managing cost objectives.

Desirable

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing internal toolsets that support our engineering teams — your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our development processes. You will engage in every aspect of engineering, from software development strategies to operational workflows, ensuring that our platform remains robust and scalable.

You will actively seek out opportunities to innovate and improve existing systems — whether it's through enhancing the integration of various tools or developing new features that streamline workflows, your input will be crucial. You will also be involved in the automation of infrastructure deployment, leveraging your expertise in Kubernetes and IaC tools to create self-service platform workflows that empower engineering teams.

Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with cross-functional teams to align on objectives and deliver high-quality solutions — your ability to communicate effectively will help bridge gaps between technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will also monitor and analyze system performance, making recommendations for improvements based on data-driven insights.
