You have a strong background in software development, particularly in the context of manufacturing operations. Your experience includes gathering requirements from stakeholders and translating them into effective software solutions. You are proficient in Java and have a solid understanding of Linux server administration, which allows you to navigate complex technical environments with ease. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors. You are adaptable and thrive in environments where manufacturing processes are continually evolving, demonstrating a commitment to improving efficiency and supporting new product introductions.

Desirable

Experience in high-volume manufacturing processes is a plus, as is familiarity with software architecture and design principles. You may also have experience leading projects and facilitating user training, which would further enhance your candidacy for this role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and other software solutions that support Apple's manufacturing operations in the EMEIA region. You will gather requirements from internal stakeholders to identify new capabilities for the Shop Floor System, ensuring that the software aligns with the evolving needs of the manufacturing environment. You will work across a broad technology stack, applying your technical skills to develop solutions that bring tangible benefits to the manufacturing process. Your role will involve leading projects from conception through to implementation, collaborating closely with engineering teams and vendors to address any issues that arise. You will also facilitate training sessions for users, ensuring they are equipped to utilize the software effectively. Your contributions will play a crucial role in optimizing manufacturing processes and enhancing overall operational efficiency.
