Overview

SpaceX is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to lead financial planning and analysis for various projects. You'll be responsible for forecasting, reporting, and tracking key performance indicators. This role requires strong analytical skills and experience in financial modeling.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in financial analysis, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. Your expertise includes developing financial models and metrics that drive business decisions. You are comfortable interfacing with various departments, including production, engineering, and executive management, to gather insights and support operational decision-making. You possess excellent analytical skills and can conduct ad-hoc analyses to support new ideas and initiatives. You are detail-oriented and have a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Desirable

Experience in the aerospace or technology sectors is a plus, as is familiarity with capital expenditure and inventory cash forecasts. You are adept at using financial software and tools to streamline processes and improve accuracy in reporting. A strong understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to financial planning and analysis will set you apart.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the forecasting of key performance indicators, including spending and resource requirements for assigned business groups. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast future unit costs and track progress in achieving cost reduction targets. Your responsibilities will also include preparing and updating capital expenditure and inventory cash forecasts, as well as supporting product cost tracking and inventory analysis. You will play a leading role in internal projects, working closely with peer organizations to understand key business issues and translate them into actionable financial insights. Your work will have executive-level visibility, driving spending and contract profitability for all SpaceX product lines, including Starlink, Starship, Falcon, and Dragon.
