Carta is seeking a Senior Software Engineer I to join their Fund Administration team, focusing on building software for the venture capital industry. This role requires expertise in financial reporting and software development.

Who you are

You have a strong background in software engineering, particularly in the context of financial reporting and fund administration. Your experience includes working with complex systems and understanding the unique needs of the venture capital industry. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers and financial analysts, to deliver high-quality software solutions. You possess excellent problem-solving skills and can navigate the challenges of building software that meets the demands of fund CFOs and investors.

Desirable

Experience in the private equity or private credit sectors is a plus, as is familiarity with ERP systems tailored for private markets. You are proactive in seeking out new technologies and methodologies that can enhance the software development process. Your communication skills enable you to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be part of the R&D team focused on developing the next generation of software for the venture capital industry. You will work closely with fund accountants and CFOs to understand their needs and translate them into software features that enhance their operational efficiency. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing software solutions that streamline fund administration processes, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards, and optimizing the user experience for fund managers.

You will also participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall architecture of the software platform.
