You'll work with technologies like Kafka, Spark, and Presto to manage vast amounts of data. This role requires strong experience in data engineering and DevOps practices.
You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on DevOps practices, particularly in managing large-scale data platforms. Your background includes working with big data technologies and you understand the intricacies of data lakes and data processing systems. You are skilled in using tools like Kafka, Spark, and Presto, and you have a solid grasp of data ingestion, processing, and validation techniques. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions. You are proactive in identifying areas for improvement and are passionate about optimizing data workflows.
Experience with open-source contributions is a plus, as is familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP. You are comfortable with scripting and automation tools, and you have a keen interest in staying updated with the latest trends in data engineering and DevOps.
In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the data platform that supports Roku's extensive data lake.
