Amazon is hiring an Engineering Operation Technician to maintain mission-critical technology infrastructure. You'll work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure 99.999% uptime. This role requires hands-on troubleshooting skills and knowledge of data center operations.
You are an Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems — you thrive in hands-on environments where you can troubleshoot and maintain critical infrastructure. Your experience includes working with diesel generators, three-phase electrical systems, and various cooling systems. You understand the importance of uptime in data centers and are committed to ensuring seamless operations. You are detail-oriented and enjoy solving complex problems, often collaborating with a diverse team of engineers and specialists. You are eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the success of the team and the organization.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the electrical and mechanical equipment in Amazon's data centers — your expertise will help ensure that our facilities operate at peak efficiency. You will work with systems such as switch gear, UPSs, PDUs, and cooling towers, ensuring that all equipment is functioning correctly. You will also be involved in preventive maintenance tasks, identifying potential issues before they become critical problems. Your role will require you to document your work and communicate effectively with your team to ensure that everyone is aligned on operational goals. You will participate in training sessions to enhance your skills and stay updated on the latest technologies in data center operations.
