Amazon is hiring a Software Development Engineer for the Amazon Leo project to design and maintain critical APIs for government customers. You'll work with Software Defined Networking and network operations in Redmond.
You have a strong background in software engineering with experience in designing and building APIs that meet unique customer needs. Your understanding of network topology and Software Defined Networking allows you to effectively interface with network teams to develop enabling software. You are a problem solver who enjoys tackling complex technical challenges, especially in mission-critical environments. You thrive in collaborative settings, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions. As a U.S. Citizen, you are compliant with government requirements related to the nature of the work. You are eager to contribute to projects that enhance space safety and sustainability applications.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining APIs and interfaces that connect Amazon Leo capabilities to U.S. Government customers. You will utilize your expertise in network operations to develop software that meets the specific needs of customers such as NASA and the Department of Defense. You will demonstrate the capabilities of the interfaces you define in a simulated test environment that you help develop. Your role will involve solving complex technical problems related to the use of the Leo constellation for government customers. You will lead internal and vendor teams to ensure successful project execution and delivery.
