Google is seeking a Program Manager I for their Controls Governance team to lead complex projects in technology risk and compliance. You'll work with stakeholders to manage project schedules and ensure effective communication. This role requires a Bachelor's degree and experience in program management.
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 1 year of program management experience. Your background includes technology risk, compliance, audit, and controls governance, particularly with Sarbanes Oxley. You possess knowledge in information governance, information life-cycle management, compliance, legal, privacy, or information security. A Master's degree or equivalent practical experience is preferred, along with certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT, CISSP, CGRC, CCSP, or CIPP. You understand regulatory frameworks like SOX, NIST, ISO, PCI DSS, and SOC, and can evaluate control effectiveness in relation to business risk. Your technical problem-solving skills enable you to navigate ambiguous environments effectively.
As a Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. This involves working closely with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span multiple offices, time zones, and hemispheres, requiring you to coordinate various players and keep them updated on progress and deadlines. You will execute the controls onboarding program, validating controls pre-activation and coordinating with Second Line of Defense teams to scope controls for assessment. Additionally, you will streamline compliance processes by partnering with compliance teams to automate manual work, coordinating readiness activities for audits, and managing communication across executive stakeholders.
At Google, you will be part of a team that values innovation and collaboration. You will have the opportunity to work on impactful projects that contribute to the overall security and compliance of the organization. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we believe diverse teams build better products. You will be supported in your professional development and have access to resources that help you grow in your career.
