Who you are

You have over 5 years of experience in data engineering, data science, or technical architecture, ideally in a pre-sales or consulting role. Your background includes building distributed data systems, and you are proficient in technologies such as Apache Spark and MLflow. You possess strong communication skills, allowing you to effectively collaborate with customers and internal teams to develop innovative solutions. You are passionate about guiding customers through the competitive landscape and implementing best practices in data architecture.

You have a solid understanding of SQL and experience with big data technologies, which enables you to consult on architectures and implement proof of concepts for strategic projects. Your technical expertise is complemented by your ability to foster relationships with customers, helping them understand how Databricks can solve their business challenges. You are also familiar with cloud services and integrations, ensuring seamless implementation of solutions.

Desirable

Experience with open-source projects and contributions to the developer community is a plus. What you'll do

As a Senior Solutions Architect on the Digital Natives team at Databricks, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of big data. You will collaborate with customers to develop architectures and solutions that leverage the Databricks platform and APIs. Your responsibilities will include consulting on big data architectures, implementing proof of concepts, and validating integrations with various cloud services and third-party applications.

You will partner closely with the sales team, providing technical leadership to help customers understand the value of Databricks in solving their business problems. Your role will involve guiding customers through best practices and competitive landscapes, ensuring they have the knowledge and support needed to succeed. You will also work alongside fellow Solutions Architects, sharing your expertise and supporting each other in delivering exceptional customer experiences.

In addition to customer-facing responsibilities, you will become an expert in Databricks-inspired open-source projects, such as Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow. You will promote these projects within the developer community and recruit contributors to enhance their growth and adoption. Your contributions will help shape the future of big data solutions and empower organizations to harness the full potential of their data.
