SpaceX is hiring a Material Handler for the 2nd shift to support production and engineering operations. You'll be responsible for safely transporting materials and operating handling equipment. This role requires a high school diploma and relevant experience in material handling.
You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and are eager to support production and engineering teams in a fast-paced environment. You understand the importance of safety and efficiency in material handling and are ready to contribute to the mission of SpaceX. You are physically capable of moving materials and operating various types of equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks. You are detail-oriented, ensuring that all materials are verified for conformity with accompanying paperwork and checking for any damages.
As a Material Handler, you will support production and engineering by moving parts to meet the master schedule. You will safely load, secure, and transport equipment such as packages and hardware, ensuring that all materials are packaged and banded for transport. You will assist with loading and unloading trucks and verify that all materials transported conform to the necessary paperwork. You will interface with various departments, including receiving and quality control, to resolve any issues related to the receipt and distribution of materials. Additionally, you will operate material handling equipment and use an electronic material requirements planning (MRP) system to route parts and components to the appropriate departments.
