Amazon is hiring a Support Engineer III for the REALM CORE team in Hyderabad. You'll provide first-level support for production software issues and work with various development and operations teams. This role requires proficiency in Java, Perl, Ruby, and SQL.
You have experience as a Software Support Engineer or in a DevOps role, acting as the first line of support for production software application issues. Your ability to learn quickly and manage multiple tasks simultaneously will be key to your success in this role. You are detail-oriented and possess strong verbal and written communication skills, allowing you to effectively coordinate with various teams. You thrive under pressure and can maintain professionalism while troubleshooting high-impact production issues.
You are familiar with troubleshooting, diagnosing, and fixing production software issues, and you have experience developing monitoring solutions and performing software maintenance. Your technical skills include working with internally developed code in languages such as Perl, Ruby, and Java, as well as executing SQL queries to resolve technical challenges. You are organized and can juggle multiple tasks, ensuring that you meet the demands of the role.
Experience with automation of support processes and documentation of systems is a plus. You are comfortable collaborating with development teams on software projects and enhancing existing software solutions. Your proactive approach allows you to identify potential problems before they escalate, ensuring the best outcomes for customers.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing first-level support for all incoming production software application issues within the Last Mile network. You will troubleshoot and diagnose issues, working closely with development, operations, and IT support groups to implement effective solutions. Your role will involve developing monitoring solutions to proactively identify issues and performing software maintenance and configuration.
You will also be tasked with updating and enhancing current software, ensuring that it meets the needs of the organization and its customers. Your responsibilities will include executing SQL queries to track and resolve technical challenges, as well as documenting your processes and solutions to improve team efficiency.
Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work alongside various teams on Amazon Corporate and Divisional Software projects. You will have the opportunity to automate support processes, making your work more efficient and impactful.
