Overview

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager I to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects in hardware, platforms, and devices. You'll work with stakeholders to manage project schedules and communicate with cross-functional partners. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 1 year of program management experience.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 1 year of experience in program management. Your background includes experience in consumer electronics or new technology introduction, as well as product development or engineering management. You possess excellent communication, organizational execution, and leadership skills, making you an influential member of a highly integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members. You understand that a problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all, and you are committed to building products that create opportunities for everyone.

What you'll do

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will leverage your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You will work closely with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You will be comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives while also discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. Your role will involve bringing together technical experience coupled with program management experience, working cross-functionally with internal teams and external suppliers. You will set strategy, streamline productivity, and execute on highly ambiguous early technology projects, managing and communicating status and issues effectively. You will also develop a stakeholder map that specifies who is impacted by, and who influences, program outcomes in collaboration with program stakeholders.

What we offer

At Google, you will be part of a team that encompasses various computing software platforms, contributing to innovative projects that have a significant impact on technology and society. You will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment that values diverse perspectives and encourages professional growth. Google offers competitive compensation and benefits, along with a culture that fosters creativity and innovation.
