Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong technical background in space vehicle design, integration, and verification across the program lifecycle — you've led projects that required innovative solutions to complex problems. Your experience includes working with multi-disciplinary teams to recommend candidate approaches and support the development of operational concepts and interfaces at various levels. You are skilled in analyzing key performance parameters and constraints to enable mission success and future capabilities.

You possess the ability to perform system architecture studies and write and coordinate interface control, requirements, and concept of operations documents — your attention to detail ensures that all aspects of a project are thoroughly considered. You are comfortable serving as a core point of contact for customers from early capabilities studies through successful delivery, demonstrating excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Your creativity shines through as you conceive and test various approaches to meet technical and programmatic objectives — you thrive in environments that allow for innovative thinking and problem-solving. You understand the importance of balancing mission needs with practical solutions, and you are adept at navigating the complexities of aerospace projects.

Desirable

Experience with new business proposals from initial requirements negotiation through final handoff and validation would be a plus — you understand the intricacies involved in bringing a project from concept to reality. Familiarity with the latest technologies and trends in aerospace engineering will enhance your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead and integrate system trades of various launch vehicles, spacecraft, and sensors — your expertise will guide the team in analyzing a wide variety of solutions to meet mission needs. You will work closely with engineers and other stakeholders to recommend candidate approaches that align with operational concepts and interfaces at the mission, segment, system, and sub-system levels.

You will identify key performance parameters and constraints that are critical for mission success — your analytical skills will be essential in ensuring that all aspects of the project are aligned with the overall objectives. Additionally, you will perform system architecture studies that inform the design and integration processes, ensuring that all components work seamlessly together.

Your responsibilities will also include writing and coordinating interface control documents, requirements, and concept of operations documents — your ability to communicate complex ideas clearly will be vital in this aspect of the role. You will support new business proposals, engaging with customers to negotiate initial requirements and ensuring a smooth transition from proposal to execution.
