Flexport is hiring an Ocean Operations Manager to lead the North Gateway operations in Hanoi. You'll manage a team of operations experts to ensure world-class service in freight shipment management. This role requires advanced English communication skills and experience in operations management.
You have a strong background in operations management, ideally with experience in logistics or freight forwarding. You excel in leading teams and have a proven track record of driving operational excellence. Your communication skills in English are advanced, and you may also have proficiency in Chinese, which is a plus. You are passionate about improving processes and ensuring customer satisfaction, and you thrive in a collaborative environment where you can coach and develop your team.
As the Ocean Operations Manager at Flexport, you will be responsible for building and leading the North Gateway operations in Vietnam. You will oversee a team of 10–15 operations experts who manage the end-to-end movement of freight shipments for clients across Vietnam and the wider region. Your role will involve scaling operational excellence, coaching your team, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including account management, customs brokers, carriers, and trucking providers, to ensure seamless operations and high-quality service for Flexport's clients.
