Microsoft is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the Foundations Performance Engineering Team in Redmond. We are looking for a Software Engineer II to join our team!
This is an exciting time to join our group and work on something highly strategic to Microsoft. The Foundations Performance Engineering Team builds the systems and tools that make Microsoft’s Power Platform and Dataverse fast, reliable, and cost-efficient at planetary scale. We design the performance architecture that underpins every customer scenario - from low-latency APIs to large-scale AI workloads. Our engineers specialize in distributed systems optimization, telemetry and workload management, and deep runtime analysis across Service Fabric and AKS. You will join a highly skilled team that thrives on solving complex scalability challenges, driving measurable capacity gains, and ensuring that millions of users experience a seamless, high-performance platform every day.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
