SpaceX is hiring a Production Control Scheduler to manage and optimize production schedules across departments. You'll utilize ERP applications to ensure efficient resource allocation and track work progress. This role requires strong organizational skills and experience in production control.
You have experience in production scheduling and control, with a strong understanding of how to mitigate schedule impact risks across various departments. You are skilled in utilizing ERP applications to ensure that work is scheduled and prioritized accurately and efficiently. You possess excellent organizational skills and can effectively communicate project critical path schedules to leadership. You are proactive in identifying and supporting improvement opportunities for product yield, quality, safety, cost, and team efficiency.
Experience in aerospace or manufacturing environments is a plus, as is familiarity with MRP systems and production planning methodologies. You are a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and can lead efforts to uncover root causes of issues found during product builds.
In this role, you will work across all departments to understand critical work requests and ensure that MRP dates align with current vehicle products. You will prepare daily work schedules, track work progress, and update project schedules as necessary. Your responsibilities will include confirming that resources are allocated appropriately and ensuring that fixture, tooling, and test equipment requirements are scheduled to facilitate an efficient production process. You will also support the accuracy of internal logistics movement of critical work and push/pull work into the shop to improve lead times and reduce stagnation.
You will utilize production, operations planning, and engineering support to eliminate internal and external blockers to deliver products on time. Additionally, you will lead efforts to uncover root causes and develop permanent resolutions for issues found during product builds, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the production process.
