Systems SW Engineer

The Hardware Test Engineering team develops world-class electrical instruments that enable the design, validation, and manufacturing of Apple’s most advanced products. We are looking for a passionate Software/Firmware Engineer to design and build the embedded and application software that powers these instruments. You will work at the intersection of hardware, firmware, and software — creating solutions that deliver precise measurements, seamless integration, and exceptional user experience. Develop custom software solutions across the full stack of our hardware test instruments and stations, from embedded firmware to APIs and user interfaces Architect and implement frameworks, APIs, and control layers for instrument functionality Design and code application-specific firmware for precision measurement and signal generation for high speed I/O interfaces Build automation scripts and data analysis tools to accelerate validation and production workflows Collaborate closely with product teams including EE, Signal Integrity, FPGA, and test engineering and logistics teams to define requirements, bring up new hardware, and validate system performance
