Overview

SpaceX is hiring an International Accountant to manage financial reporting and compliance for Starlink subsidiaries. You'll prepare journal entries and support tax compliance efforts. This role requires experience in accounting and international regulations.

Who you are

You have a solid background in accounting, with experience in managing financial reporting processes and ensuring compliance with international regulations. You understand the intricacies of foreign currency conversions and intercompany transactions, and you are adept at preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. Your attention to detail ensures that all financial information is accurate and timely, supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

You are comfortable collaborating with local service providers to coordinate international statutory filings, bridging statutory financial and tax books to U.S. GAAP. Your experience includes working with tax teams to meet international regulatory and tax compliance needs, including VAT/GST. You are proactive in identifying potential issues and addressing them before they escalate, ensuring smooth operations across different jurisdictions.

Desirable

What you'll do

As an International Accountant at SpaceX, you will participate in the accounting close process, ensuring that all monthly financial information for Starlink subsidiaries is reported accurately and on time. You will prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and accruals, while also managing reserves and intercompany transactions as required. Your role will involve foreign currency conversions to support the financial operations of Starlink.

You will partner with local service providers to review and coordinate international statutory filings, ensuring compliance with local regulations and bridging statutory financial and tax books to U.S. GAAP. Supporting the tax team and local service providers will be crucial in meeting international regulatory and tax compliance needs, including VAT/GST.

Your contributions will help SpaceX maintain its commitment to transparency and accuracy in financial reporting, which is essential for the success of Starlink's mission to provide reliable internet access worldwide. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that financial practices align with the company's goals and objectives.
