Hermeus is seeking a Director of Business Development to expand engagement with the U.S. Navy. You'll leverage your established network and technical fluency to drive partnerships and programs. This role requires a deep understanding of naval aviation and hypersonics.
You have a strong background in business development, particularly within the defense sector, with at least 5 years of experience working directly with the U.S. Navy or Department of War. Your established network within the Navy and understanding of naval aviation requirements make you an ideal candidate for this role. You are technically fluent in hypersonics and rapid prototyping, allowing you to effectively communicate complex concepts to stakeholders. You thrive in environments where you can convert relationships into meaningful partnerships, programs, and contracts, and you are passionate about advancing high-Mach and hypersonic aviation.
You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to represent Hermeus's vision to naval stakeholders effectively. Your ability to identify emerging Navy requirements and work seamlessly with engineering and product teams is crucial. You are a strategic thinker who understands the Pentagon’s decision-making ecosystem and can navigate it to foster collaboration and innovation. You are committed to building a diverse team and accelerating government partnerships to support the Navy's operational needs.
Experience with high-speed aircraft manufacturing or related technologies is a plus. Familiarity with the latest advancements in hypersonic technology and naval operational concepts will enhance your ability to contribute to Hermeus's mission.
