Join Amazon's ACE Analytics Team: Shape the Future of 1.5M+ Amazonian Career Journeys! As a Senior BIE, drive data-driven innovation and influence product strategy for one of the world's largest workforce development systems.

Looking for a passionate Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to revolutionize how we understand and enhance career development at Amazon. You'll join an experienced team of BIEs and DEs building scalable analytics solutions that impact Amazonians across 40+ countries.

- Partner directly with product owners to influence product design and strategy through data-driven insights

Key job responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end business intelligence initiatives for Amazon's proprietary talent products, from opportunity identification to evaluation strategies

- Collaborate closely with product and program owners to influence product design, data capture methods, and measurement strategies

- Develop and implement scalable, self-service analytics solutions that enable stakeholders to understand key metrics and trends autonomously

- Influence data warehouse solutions that effectively capture valuable attributes for measuring the impact of product and feature launches

- Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify new challenges and opportunities in Amazonian career development

- Translate complex business problems into actionable, data-driven recommendations that are both customer-centric and technically feasible

- Contribute to building agile and scalable analytics products that can adapt to rapidly changing business environments

- Drive cross-functional influence by developing solutions that encourage organization-wide adoption of efficient delivery, accurate measurement, and rigorous decision-making processes

- Participate in and often lead the evaluation of new approaches for talent development, leveraging data to support or refute hypotheses

- Stay current with the latest BI tools and methodologies, continuously improving the team's capabilities and efficiency

- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the overall growth and development of the ACE Analytics team

About the team
ACE Analytics team is formed with experienced BIEs, DEs, and one BI manager. We vision our analytics team to contain effective BI resources to support the product org in following aspects: 1) has efficient automation and self-service solution in place to create mechanism for stakeholders and leaders understanding metrics and trends; 2) owns and design the DW solutions which can capture valuable attributes to understand the impact of any product/feature launches; and 3) to connect between business and technology and provide data-driven recommendation which can be customer centric.- 10+ years of professional or military experience
- 5+ years of SQL experience
- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
- Experience with AWS technologies
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
