Job Description

The Sr. Hardware Quality Eng. will lead the implementation of quality systems and mechanisms across MSP programs. They will coordinate and collaborate with cross functional teams to assure the successful APQP and product quality processes are in place and highly effective. The role will participate and develop the QMS, Supplier Audit Strategy, and PPAP strategy.

This role will be responsible for ensuring alignment and coordination across supplier quality, advanced product quality planning (APQP), and change management within the Scaled Quality organization.

This role will oversee the implementation and adherence to the product development process, ensuring all teams operate efficiently and effectively. The engineer will act as a central point of communication and organization driving cross functional collaboration, managing key initiatives, and providing oversight to ensure processes are followed consistently. They will identify opportunities for improvement, resolve process bottlenecks, and maintain a structured approach to achieving quality, timing, and operational objectives.

Key job responsibilities
-Identify, prioritize, and lead the implementation of key initiatives aimed at driving continuous improvement in Scaled Quality systems and process adoption
-Serve as a technical and process mentor for new hires, providing guidance and support to ensure their successful onboarding and adoption of Scaled Quality technical processes.
-Guide product development teams on supplier selection, assessment, audit and development decisions
-Monitor and ensure organizational alignment with the Strategic Plan, providing regular updates and insights on progress towards goals
-Track and oversee product development process deliverables across all products and lifecycle stages, ensuring timely completion and adherence to established processes
-Develop white papers and establish metrics to articulate Scaled Quality initiatives and strategic vision
-Collaborate cross functionally to identify key stakeholders and working partners in other organizations and foster strong partnerships to enhance team integration and collaboration
-Travel as needed to accomplish program objectives- Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures- Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
- Experience with the project management of technical projects
