You have a strong background in data science, with at least 5 years of experience in leveraging data analytics and machine learning to drive business decisions. Your expertise in Python and SQL allows you to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively, and you are comfortable working with complex data structures. You understand the importance of data quality and have experience in ensuring data integrity throughout the analytics process. You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working in a diverse environment and can communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. You are passionate about using data to solve real-world problems and improve operational efficiency.

Desirable

Experience in the IoT or transportation sectors is a plus, as is familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. Knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI would enhance your ability to present insights effectively. You are also open to learning new technologies and methodologies to stay ahead in the rapidly evolving field of data science.

What you'll do

As a Senior Data Scientist at Geotab, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data-driven solutions that enhance fleet management and improve safety outcomes. You will analyze vast amounts of data generated from connected vehicles, identifying trends and insights that can lead to actionable recommendations for our clients. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering and product management, to integrate data analytics into our existing platforms. You will also mentor junior data scientists, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their careers. Additionally, you will be involved in designing experiments and conducting A/B testing to validate hypotheses and measure the impact of new features.
