Overview

SpaceX is hiring an Equipment Maintenance Technician to support Starship operations by maintaining and repairing critical automation systems. You'll work with PLCs, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components in a high-stakes manufacturing environment.

Who you are

You have a strong background in equipment maintenance, particularly in high-stakes manufacturing environments. Your experience includes performing preventative and corrective maintenance on complex automation systems, ensuring optimal performance of critical assets. You are skilled in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to control, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical components. Your familiarity with PLCs, servomotors, actuators, and robotics, particularly KUKA systems, sets you apart. You adhere to safety protocols and understand the importance of operational reliability and efficiency in supporting mission-critical operations.

Desirable

Experience with advanced automation systems and a background in aerospace or similar industries would be advantageous. Familiarity with interpreting schematics and documenting repairs is also a plus. You are a proactive problem solver who can deliver permanent solutions in collaboration with engineering and production teams.

What you'll do

As an Equipment Maintenance Technician at SpaceX, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing all assets to ensure their proper operating condition. You will provide preventative and corrective maintenance on various complex automation systems, troubleshooting and repairing control and electrical system failures. Your responsibilities will include working with PLCs, HMIs, servomotors, servo amplifiers, and field sensors. You will collaborate closely with engineering and production teams, interpreting schematics and documenting repairs to uphold operational reliability. Your analytical problem-solving skills will be essential in delivering permanent solutions to complex issues, directly contributing to the success of Starship’s mission to advance human space exploration.
