Job Description

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, focusing on building and maintaining scalable hosting environments. Your expertise in cloud services, particularly AWS, has enabled you to design systems that are both reliable and efficient. You are well-versed in containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes, allowing you to streamline deployment processes and improve system performance.

Your strong background in Linux systems administration means you can troubleshoot and optimize server performance effectively. You understand the importance of automation in infrastructure management and have experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices. You are a proactive problem solver who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance engineering efficiency.

You are passionate about creating processes that improve team workflows and are always looking for ways to innovate and optimize. You thrive in a remote-first environment and are comfortable communicating with team members across different time zones. You believe in the power of visual development and are excited about contributing to a platform that empowers users to build websites without writing code.

Desirable

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools is a plus, as is familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible or Terraform. You have a keen interest in emerging technologies and are eager to learn and adapt to new tools that can enhance infrastructure capabilities.

You will work closely with product teams to understand their infrastructure needs and design solutions that support their goals. Your role will involve optimizing existing systems and implementing new technologies to improve performance and efficiency.

You will lead initiatives to automate infrastructure management processes, reducing manual intervention and increasing deployment speed. Collaborating with engineering teams, you will help establish best practices for infrastructure management and contribute to the development of internal tools that enhance team productivity.

You will also monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise, ensuring minimal downtime and a seamless experience for our users. Your insights will be crucial in planning for future growth and scaling our infrastructure to meet increasing demand.
