Amazon is seeking a Strategic Supply Chain Manager I for their Consumables Retail team in Mexico City. You'll own the end-to-end supply chain strategy for a Consumables category, collaborating with various teams to optimize processes and improve operational efficiency. You have a strong background in supply chain management and data analysis, with a proven track record of optimizing processes and improving operational efficiency. You are customer-obsessed and results-oriented, always looking for ways to enhance the customer experience through effective supply chain strategies. Your analytical strength allows you to identify root causes of inefficiencies and design scalable solutions that drive results. You possess excellent influencing skills, enabling you to create alignment between business and operational priorities. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals. You are passionate about continuous improvement and have experience managing inventory strategies to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.

Desirable

Experience in the retail sector, particularly in consumables, is a plus. Familiarity with vendor management and demand forecasting will enhance your ability to succeed in this role. A background in finance or operations can also be beneficial as you partner with various teams to drive efficiency initiatives.

What you'll do

As a Strategic Supply Chain Manager I, you will own the end-to-end supply chain strategy for a Consumables category, ensuring that we serve customers with more selection, faster, and at lower costs. You will collaborate with Vendor Management on demand forecasting, product launches, and promotional planning to drive growth while protecting operational capacity. Your role will involve leading cross-functional projects aimed at simplifying processes and reducing lead times. You will partner with Operations and Supply Chain Excellence to enhance fulfillment efficiency and improve speed-to-customer. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the inventory strategy for your category, ensuring optimal in-stock levels while minimizing aged and excess inventory. You will lead cost-to-serve and efficiency initiatives, driving the best results for our customers. Your ability to analyze data and make informed decisions will be crucial in this role, as you will constantly seek opportunities for improvement and innovation.
