SpaceX is hiring a Build Coordinator for the Starship project to monitor and manage the logistics of parts movement. You'll work closely with various teams to ensure timely delivery and maintain accurate data. This role requires strong organizational skills and experience in operations management.
You have a strong background in operations management, with experience in coordinating logistics and ensuring timely delivery of materials. You understand the importance of workflow consistency and accuracy, and you are skilled at promoting these values across teams. You are detail-oriented and capable of resolving discrepancies in system data that could impact production schedules. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable working with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
Experience in aerospace or manufacturing environments is a plus, as is familiarity with MRP/ERP systems. You are proactive in identifying areas for improvement and implementing innovative solutions to streamline processes. You have excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively collaborate with production supervisors and managers.
As a Build Coordinator, you will monitor and track the movement of parts through various stages of production, ensuring that they reach their next destination on time. You will push and pull parts through receiving inspection, stock rooms, and production resources, promoting workflow consistency throughout the process. You will coordinate off-site processing of parts and work closely with planning, procurement, engineering, and production teams to maintain clean and accurate MRP/ERP data. Your role will involve updating and utilizing metrics to drive results, assisting production leadership with action item updates, and supporting logistics processes through innovative staging of workflow. You will also manage material certifications to prevent the use of un-certified materials, ensuring compliance with company standards.
