sennder is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior GL Accountant to join our General Ledger Accounting team for the East Region, with a strong focus on accounting and tax operations in Poland. Reporting to the Regional GL Accounting Manager – East Region, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, while also managing accounting-related tax compliance for the Polish entities.

You will take ownership of core GL processes, support statutory reporting obligations, and contribute to the standardization and improvement of accounting practices as part of our wider finance transformation.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL…

• Execute monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in line with IFRS and Polish GAAP
• Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and adjustments
• Take ownership of accounting-related tax compliance in Poland, including accurate accounting of VAT, CIT and other local taxes
• Prepare or support statutory financial statements and ensure timely and correct submissions to local authorities
• Provide documentation and support for external audits and regulatory reviews
• Collaborate with other finance workstreams (AP, AR, FP&A, Treasury) to ensure consistency and completeness of financial data
• Contribute to the implementation of standardized accounting processes and continuous improvement initiatives across the group

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR …

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in General Ledger Accounting or Audit, ideally with exposure to local tax compliance
• Strong knowledge of Polish GAAP and IFRS
• Experience in accounting for local taxes such as VAT and CIT in Poland
• Experience in multi-entity environments, including month-end closings and statutory reporting
• Proficiency in ERP systems; experience with Oracle and NetSuite is a plus
• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of key accounting areas
• Fluency in both Polish and English is required
