Google is seeking a Senior Account Executive for the Public Sector to drive cloud solutions and business growth. You'll engage with C-level executives and work with government agencies in the DC/Maryland area. This role requires 10 years of experience in quota-carrying sales.
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 10 years of experience in quota-carrying cloud or software sales, or account management at a B2B software company. Your experience includes engaging with accounts and promoting a portfolio of products at the C-level, particularly within Maryland's government agencies or education organizations. You have a proven track record of growing an existing customer base and acquiring new logos at scale, which has helped increase spend and accelerate consumption business.
You are skilled in working with customer engineers and technical leads to inventory software estates, define migration plans, and build migration business cases. Your experience also includes collaborating with lobbyist firms and understanding government lobbying policy within the DC/Maryland area. You thrive in cross-functional team environments and have led discussions and implementations that drive business outcomes for state agencies.
Experience promoting cloud solutions across the public sector is a plus, as is familiarity with aligning solutions to drive business outcomes. You are comfortable managing business cycles, presenting to C-level executives, and discussing terms that maximize business impact within Public Sector customers.
In this role, you will be part of the Google Cloud Platform team, helping customers transform and build what's next for their business using cloud technology. You will manage business cycles and drive business development, ensuring operational excellence at scale. Your responsibilities will include forecasting accurately and achieving goals by leading customers through the entire business cycle. You will work cross-functionally with multiple teams and Google Partners to identify and maximize business growth opportunities within Public Sector customers.
You will engage with C-level executives to discuss terms and present solutions that align with their needs. Your role will require you to navigate complex discussions and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure successful implementations. You will also be responsible for driving customer engagement and satisfaction, ensuring that the solutions provided meet their expectations and business objectives.
