Google is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support DC Acquisitions in Energy and Sustainability. You'll analyze large datasets and provide insights for strategic financial decisions. This role requires 7+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis.
You have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience. With 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree, you are well-prepared for this role. You possess experience working with large datasets and have coding languages, database, automation, or business intelligence skills, including SQL, Python, R, and JavaScript. Your ability to be organized, detail-oriented, strategically focused, and effortlessly multi-task in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment sets you apart. You can self-direct your work in an unstructured environment and manage ambiguity effectively. Excellent people management, communication, and presentation skills enable you to craft and deliver messages with credibility to influence executive leadership.
As a Senior Financial Analyst at Google, you will ensure that the company makes sound financial decisions. Your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, will be used by leaders to make strategic company decisions. You will work on multiple projects at a time, focusing on the details while finding creative ways to tackle big-picture challenges. Leading individual projects, you will transform planning, tracking, and control processes. You will provide senior-level management with insightful recommendations, planning, and reporting support. Collaborating closely with third-party vendors, utilities, and suppliers, you will validate monthly settlements, analyze energy invoices, and ensure timely and accurate payments. Additionally, you will support reporting on renewable energy purchases, consumption, and progress toward goals, assisting the team in managing renewable energy contracts and utility agreements.
